Lovely Autumn

Stamps : Lovely as a tree, So many sayings (Hostess set)

Card stock:Ivory naturals, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust

Ink:Old Olive, Really Rust, More Mustard, Really Rust, Close To Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red

Accessories: Antique Brass Brads, Crystal Effects, Sponges, Distressing tool.

I saw Yvonne Campbell use this technique on this set and thought it was very realistic.  The crystal effects cause the marker inks in the leaves to bleed into one another just a little.  Lovely thanks Yvonne.  Yvonnes blog is Yvonne Campbell

Resisting flowers...

This is a card we did at a class a little while ago.  The technique is crayon resist.  It is a great technique as it really makes the images stand out.  You stamp the glossy card stock with an outline image using stazon ink.  Then with a normal white crayon you draw on the card stock were you want it to remain white.  Then sponge the images with ink in the pattern that you like.  Done that is crayon resist.  It does take some time getting the sponging right so  add a little ink at a time.  Have some fun with this technique.

Stamps : Time well spent, Occasional Greetings

Card stock: Glossy White, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum

Ink: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Stazon Black ink

Accessories: White crayon, Cuttle bug and embossing folder

Take care

Groovy Flower!

Another take on the Fabulous Flower set.  I have had a lot of fun with this set.  I really like the effect with the crystal effects..  I used the kiss technique for this flower too.  The kiss technique is really applying or removing ink with another stamp.  (They kiss, rubber to rubber) I inked the big flower in the set with blush blossom then inked another flower with Guava and stamped it randomly onto the large flower with the blossom ink still on it.  I repeated this with another flower and purely pomegranate.  Remember go from lightest to darkest...  The crystal effects lifts the colours and seems to blends the edges.

Stamps : Fabulous flowers, and It's your birthday

Card stock: Purely Pomegranate, Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom

Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom

Fabulous flower.

I had a fare well  card to make and I thought a blue flower would do the trick.  It has turned out lovely.  A little of the kiss technique and some crystal effects and there you have a stand out flower.  Hope you like it too.
